Perla is shaped through continuous curves that wrap around the form. The surface is carved in travertine, where these curves repeat and create a rhythm that reads as lines from a distance.
The round top is made in Jupiter quartzite from Brazil, sitting over the fluted body and adding contrast in tone and surface.
Small hammered spheres are placed along the opening, marking the edges and adding a point of detail. The travertine shows its natural porosity, giving the piece a soft, textured finish. Handmade by artisans in Colombia.
MATERIALS
Most pieces are made from natural stone and wood. Variations in color, veining, and texture are part of the material and may differ from piece to piece. Wood may also show natural differences in tone and grain.
Each object is handmade by artisans, with parts assembled by hand. Small variations and subtle marks are a result of the process and reflect the craftsmanship behind each piece.
